Introduction Ensuring the reliability and safety of CNG regulators is paramount for any fleet using compressed natural gas, as regulator failure can lead to unsafe pressure fluctuations or gas leaks. The Neometrix CNG Regulator Test Bench simulates service conditions by performing up to 50,000 pressurization–depressurization cycles across varying pressures and temperatures, in accordance with ISO 15500-9:2001(E) for regulator life-cycle testing. It also incorporates high-pressure leak detection to certify components before vehicle assembly. Key Features • Air Drive Section: Provides a clean, regulated air supply (5 bar minimum) to the booster via a 5 μm coalescing filter and precision pressure regulator, ensuring consistent drive performance and preventing moisture-induced damage to the booster mechanism. • Air Boosting System: Employs a Haskel AG-15/75 pneumatic gas booster, capable of boosting inlet air (100 psi) to outlet pressures up to 15,000 psi (≈1,034 bar) with a maximum compression ratio of 100:1. Oxygen-cleaned and assembled in ISO 9001/AS9100 certified Class 5 cleanrooms for high-purity operation. • Dual Pressure Lines & Automation: Two independent circuits (300 bar and 330 bar) with automatic pressure-switch shutdown protect the unit under test (UUT) and operator. Integrated PLC logic and scheduling software automate cycling tests and safety interlocks. • Digital Pressure Indicator (DPI): A full-featured DPI with ±0.25% full-scale accuracy displays real-time pressure, offers tare, peak-hold, max-min readings, and supports multiple engineering units.
